The Butchers Tap is a cracking boozer and a traditional butcher's shop, all wrapped up in one, in the centre of Marlow.

We serve well-kept ales and other drinks, and a small but tasty selection of food to enjoy with them. We also sell a full range of well-sourced British meats to take home, expertly prepared by our in-house butchers.

The Butchers

The Butchers part of the butcher's tap is run by Andy Cook.

We sell all your favourites, from steaks and sausages to your sunday roast, sourced locally wherever possible and butchered here in the pub. Tell us your regular order and we'll have it ready for you to collect each week. We also have a tasty selection of pies, sausage rolls and other cooked food, to take away or enjoy here with a pint.

The Pub

15 Spittal Street, Marlow, has been a local pub since Adam was a lad, and we want to keep it that way.

The Butcher's Tap is a traditional pub with a friendly welcome. We serve a choice of well-kept beers and ales, wines and spirits, and a small selection of food prepared by the butchers. There are three tellies, showing all major sporting events. We hope you'll join us for a drink soon.

Our Meat

We are proud that all the meat we sell at The Butcher’s Tap is sourced and butchered by us. It’s the same meat that we serve at our Michelin-starred pubs, The Hand and Flowers and The Coach — best quality produce with heritage and traceability.

As we butcher the meat ourselves, we are able to supply a full range of cuts, including things that can be hard to find elsewhere. All our butchers are fully trained, so we can tell you exactly how to look after and prepare every cut of meat.

We value our relationship with our customers and, once we get to know you, we can recommend new things you might like to try. In fact, we do everything you should expect from a traditional butcher's shop.

  • 28 day dry aged Herefordshire-cross Aberdeen Angus, from Ayrshire
  • Free range pork and chicken, reared outdoors by Packington
  • Wiltshire Downlands Texel lamb
  • Game from West Wycombe Estate
  • Sausages, made in-house
